Volunteer Registration for the 2018 Red Balloon Run & Ride has now CLOSED!! Thank you for your interest and willingness to help us help others!
Enthusiastic volunteers are crucial to our success. By volunteering, you will be supporting thousands of people who are raising money for Children's Health and the more than 700,000 kids who are treated at Children's each year. There are a variety of areas where we need your help. Please consider volunteering your time - it'll make a difference in the life of a child!
Please note, volunteers age 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

How do I Start or Join a Volunteer team?
If you're interested in captaining a volunteer team or joining a volunteer team that's already been formed, click on the appropriate link for a document that will show you the simple steps:
Can I sign up for more than one job?
YES. All the volunteer positions are divided into shifts and we need help in the days leading up to the event and on event day itself.
Simply click on the button below to sign up online. Our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you if we have any questions. Otherwise, you will be notified with your job assignment specifics a couple weeks prior to the event. If you have any questions, please contact us at: email@example.com
Do I need to register for the Run or Ride part of the event in order to Volunteer?
No. The Volunteer Registration is separate from the Run & Ride Registrations. However, if you want to volunteer AND also participate in one of the runs or rides then you will need to register twice; once under Volunteer Registration and then also under the Run (or Ride) Registration section.
What should I bring?
- Photo ID
When should I arrive?
We request you arrive approx 30 minutes prior to your shift start time. This will allow time to park, check in and get to the volunteer location you've been assigned.
Where do I park?
Parking will be available in areas designated specifically for Volunteers. These areas will be marked with signage and are highlighted on the course maps. A Volunteer Parking Pass will be emailed to you along with your final assignment details a couple weeks prior to the event.
Where do I go when I arrive?
All volunteers working the main event location will go directly to the Volunteer Check-In labeled tent located in the infield area. All Ride Rest Stop Volunteers will go directly to their assigned offsite location and check in there. They will not need to come to the main location to check in. Specific Ride Rest Stop location information will be provided to those volunteers as we get closer to the event.
What if it rains?
Rain or shine, we will start participants, so dress appropriately. If there is a chance of rain, we recommend you bring a poncho, umbrella, and a change of shoes and socks. In the event we experience severe weather that would force us to postpone or cancel the Event, the website will be updated to reflect that change and an email will be sent out.
Do I need to bring a snack for myself?
We will provide water, a light breakfast and lunch for all volunteers. If you have special dietary needs, then, yes, we would suggest you bring a snack for yourself.
If you have additional questions or represent a company, service group, or club that would like to provide volunteer support, please contact Jacky at, 214-526-9712, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
