Welcome to our Team!
The Texas Irish Cycling Team was formed in 2006 by 22 mutual friends living throughout the greater Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. We share a passion for cycling and a desire to help our communities. What started out as a group of individuals who enjoyed the camaraderie of cycling and raising money as part of the Sam's Club Bike MS, has evolved into a not-for-profit corporation whose members have raised more than $380,000 for local and national charities. Our goal for 2014 is to raise $200,000 for such charities as the MS Society, Children's Health, Genesis Women's Shelter and the Make a Wish Foundation.
Our mission still focuses heavily on cycling, teamwork and having a good time together; however, charitable giving has become equally important and is a cornerstone value of the team. The Texas Irish's fundraising efforts are primarily directed toward charities that focus on curing diseases, victims of domestic violence, children in need and members of our country's armed forces.
What is Passion for Children's?
Passion for Children's is a grassroots fundraising campaign, designed for people of all ages, for the exclusive benefit of Children's Health. We encourage participants to pledge to raise a minimum of $100 annually, and choose a specific program, service, clinic and/or research center to benefit from their fundraising.
