The CAR T Super Cells Kick Leukemia's Butt!
Welcome to my personal fundraising page! I have become a pledge-based fundraiser as a participant in the Red Balloon Run & Ride for Children's Health. Thanks for your support!
Who am I supporting?
I am able to Pick a Fight and choose the specific program, service, clinic, and/or research center I want to support. Of course, I'm selecting the amazing team of doctors, nurses, and staff of the Center for Cancers and Blood Disorders (CCBD).
This is the team that has been treating Brendan's Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) since July, 2018. They are saving his life!
Unfortunately, Brendan's ALL did not respond to the chemotherapy protocol that works for many patients. Fortunately, the recently FDA-approved immunotherapy known as CAR T-Cell Therapy DID work! Brendan is now a Genetically Modified Organism, and we are thrilled!
100% of the money I raise will go to Children's in support of our Fight! Your donation to Children's will be used to help continue life-saving research, just like the CAR T-Cell Therapy.
What is the Red Balloon Run & Ride?
The Red Balloon Run & Ride is a family friendly fun run and walk event for participants and fundraisers to show their support for Children's Health. Held at Children's Medical Center Plano, this event is a great opportunity for friends, families, coworkers and neighbors to get together and support every specialty program, service, clinic and research department at Children's Health.
Everyone may not have the same cause, but Passion for Children’s unites fundraisers through hope, courage, vision and determination to make a difference in the lives of children treated at Children's Health.
Who is Children's Health?
Children's Health is private, not-for-profit, and is one of the largest pediatric healthcare providers in the nation, and the only Level 1 trauma center for pediatrics in the Southwest. Children's provides patient care ranging from simple eye exams to specialized treatment. Children's has been recognized as one of the finest pediatric hospitals in the United States, receiving numerous awards. Patients of Children's have received more than $200 million in uncompensated care in the past five years.
