Reagan was born May 7, 2015. She has had three open-heart surgeries so far, one planned and two emergencies. She has survived and thrived no matter what is thrown her way. She graduated from physical and occupational therapy, walked at 14 months, and is as athletic and strong as her two older brothers. Reagan loves to dance, sing, kick the ball, look at books, and watch Frozen. She is our miracle, our fighter, and our warrior—she has touched so many lives already, as she is a testament to both the power of prayer and to the skill of her cardiology team. She makes us better and we are blessed that she's ours.
I'm raising money because Reagan needs as much CHD research as possible—every dollar donated gets her one step closer to possibly not needing a future open-heart surgery. I want all the kids who go through the Heart Center at Children's to have an excellent prognosis and great quality of life. Additionally, I am running to show support for all the families of heart angels, whose names I won't ever forget.
What is Passion for Children's?
Passion for Children's is a grassroots fundraising campaign, designed for people of all ages, for the exclusive benefit of Children's Health. We encourage participants to pledge to raise a minimum of $100 annually, and choose a specific program, service, clinic and/or research center to benefit from their fundraising.
Everyone may not have the same cause, but Passion for Children's unites fundraisers through hope, courage, vision and determination to make a difference in the lives of children treated at Children's Health.
