The Children’s Red Balloon Run and Relay will consist of three participation options:
- 1k kids fun run (< 12 years old)
- 5k fun run
- 20k relay (teams of 2 - 4 people)
The start and finish of each segment will take place on the northwest side of the Children’s Medical Center Legacy campus under Start/Finish structure.
The 5k course and kids 1k fun run course are designed in and around the Children’s Medical Center Legacy campus in Plano.
Courses will be completely coned off and traffic free with support from the Plano Police Department ensuring a safe and unforgettable experience for runners and walkers and a fun viewing experience for family, friends and co-workers.
Relay Teams
Relay teams can be comprised of all men, all women or co-ed. Teams must include a minimum of 2 team members and a maximum of 4 members, allowing individuals the option to run more than one leg for their team.
Relay participants will run each of the legs in sequential order on the 5k course.
Fundraising for Children’s
The Children’s Red Balloon Run & Relay is one of the three 2010 fundraising programs produced by Passion for Children’s for the exclusive benefit of Children’s Medical Center. Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum $100 as part of participation in this event.
Children’s needs your support in order to continue to care for kids in their greatest time of need. 100% of the money you raise goes directly to Children’s. You can have a direct impact and be the difference!

Registration will be available on site on race day beginning at 7:00 a.m. There is $5 fee for same day registration. All chip fees still apply.
